This project demanded the creation of a high-end, mobile dwelling within a strict 4.5-tonne weight limit—without compromising architectural sophistication or guest experience. Purpose-built for the Airbnb market, the challenge was balancing transportability with spatial efficiency, material durability, and visual appeal to deliver memorable stays.
Drawing inspiration from Scandinavian lodge typology, the design evokes light, warmth, and minimalist clarity through carefully selected lightweight materials. Every detail was governed by weight constraints while maintaining architectural integrity—from high-grade birch plywood structural bracing to lightweight standing seam cladding that delivers contemporary aesthetic across roof and walls.

Result
The finished dwelling achieves refined elegance within its mobile framework, combining exposed birch plywood interiors with clean vertical lines that create visual sophistication. The steep 40-degree pitched roof establishes calming vertical volume, anchored by a fixed gable-end window that floods the space with natural light.
Operable skylights enhance passive ventilation and connection to the natural environment, while the stripped-back interior palette introduces natural warmth and minimalist clarity. The seamless standing seam cladding delivers the crisp, contemporary aesthetic that defines the guest experience—proving that weight limitations need not compromise architectural ambition or luxury accommodation standards.
